Had TAKA been in this match instead of Seno, it probably would have been a MOTYC. This was like the old days with excellent rudo wrestling leading to the technicos fighting fire with fire, going into an awesome heated finish with one great move after another. The only problem was that Seno is clumsy and uncoordinated, so he was butchering CRAZY MAX's spots. He wasn't blowing any of them, it's just that they usually didn't look as smooth and graceful as they should. Also, his move set makes Yoshinari Ogawa's look vast.

"I dig Seno because he reminds me of Sasuke in Universal. King of the charismatic (sort of) jobbers," wrote Sam.

He's Sasuke in his first year in Universal, only with 10 pounds of lead in each boot.

CRAZY MAX started off brawling outside the ring then triple teamed Seno, including Suwa & Fuji spread eagling him so his crotch was against the post then Nobunaga giving him a "sliding" dropkick. Seno answered Fuji's sumo palms, but Fuji drove Seno right back into the corner with them.

In spite of Nobunaga punching him in the balls to stop his baseball slide headscissors, Yakushiji was able to avoid a wild Nobunaga jumping body attack and briefly gain the advantage with his corbata off the ring apron. Yakushiji let Hoshikawa take over, but Suwa took control of the action. The technico team finally gained the advantage when they started triple teaming. Seno went on offense and his move set is worse than Fuji's so this wasn't too good.

The match really picked up just before 11:30 when CRAZY MAX were picking Yakushiji up and slamming him face first into the mat. However, Yakushiji chopped Suwa then headscissored Nobunaga to escape. Fuji tried to maintain the advantage, but Yakushiji stopped his Irish whip and spin kicked him then made the hot tag to Hoshikawa. Hoshikawa & Seno double teamed Fuji, with Seno using Tannybutts of all things.

With Yakushiji now recovered, Hoshikawa & Yakushiji were set to do their missile kick into German suplex hold double team spot, but Suwa clipped Hoshikawa. Since Yakushiji was standing on the top rope, he decided to make Suwa pay by missile kicking him to the floor then following with a suicida.

They began the series of near falls by getting Seno's out of the way. He used a powerslam and German suplex hold on Nobunaga. He actually got one very credible near fall on Fuji with a lariat because it came after Yakushiji gave Fuji his nadare shiki no Misterio rana (which technically isn't a rana since it doesn't end in a pin, but in any case is their name for the Ultimo Dragon twisting Frankensteiner off the top rope) then Hoshikawa gave him his diving brain kick.

Seno was nearly pinned by Suwa's super powerbomb, but Yakushiji saved him with a dropkick. He was also nearly pinned after Nobunaga's mad splash (basically a frog splash), but Hoshikawa saved with an elbow drop. The crowd was going nuts at this point. Finally there was no one to save Seno, but he still got to kick out once before succumbing to Suwa's diving headbutt.

Everyone in this match looked good, except Seno. However, Seno still got over because he did better than you would expect. It's really too bad that Hoshikawa & Yakushiji left Michinoku Pro because they were peaking at this point, and topping my underrated by fans list.
