DRESS UP WILD FIGHT TAG MATCH:
Mayumi Ozaki & Chikayo Nagashima (GAEA)
vs. Dynamite Kansai & Cuty Suzuki

Normally there is less than no point to making the goofy fashion comments and jokes, but I have to question Cuty's choice of attire for this match. It looked like she interpretted Dress Up as something dress up for a formal occassion instead of dress up in clothes that you don't mind Oz beating you to a bloody pulp in. In any case, while Oz & Chikayo were not surprisingly in their street fight attire, Cuty looked like she was dressed up to attend a wedding.

Although this was still a little on the long side, it was a well booked match that was closer to the length these type of matches need to be. It was a very good brawl, with the strong wrestling to go along with it that Oz is known for. Chikayo was paired with Cuty, and she wrestled her like she was her equal. This was key because if the younger girls wrestle like girls then they'll never be seen as stars.

Cuty bled, but not nearly as much as Chikayo, who juiced heavily. Chikayo took diving footstomps from Cuty then Kansai (who probably weighs more than twice as much as poor Chikayo does). At one point she took a "chain shiki enzui knee" (diving knee off the top with a chain wrapped around the knee) from Cuty, but again she refused to lose. Later, Kansai tried a high kick with the chain around her ankle, but Chikayo ducked it so Cuty got hit. Ozaki then urakened Cuty 3 times, the later two of which being chain urakens, and Chikayo covered for the win. This helped Chikayo a lot, but didn't really hurt Cuty because it was Kansai & Ozaki that led to her demise. 23:58 (16:00 aired).

Michael: I actually liked this match better then the Ozaki & Amano vs. Kudo & RIE DRESS UP WILD FIGHT TAG MATCH from 4/8/97. The near falls here were much better, and Chikayo getting the pin was big for her.

Jason: The match was what you would expect, a great brawl that did elevate Nagashima. They did make it clear with the finish that Ozaki had really beaten Cuty, and Kansai helped by accidentally kicking Cuty in the head with a chain, so like you said it didn't hurt Cuty's rep. Overall, I really liked this match.
