JWP Nintei Tag Senshuken Jiai:
Devil Masami & Cuty Suzuki
vs. Hikari Fukuoka & Tomoko Kuzumi

This match was good for Fukuoka & Kuzumi's work and high spots. Devil can't keep up with Hikari & Kuzumi these days, so she instilled a really slow pace. In spite of the pace being slower than they like, Hikari & Kuzumi two looked excellent. Unfortunately, Devil wasn't all that great even though she was dictating to some extent and Cuty did next to nothing.

Not surprisingly, not much happened early, but it turned into a very good, albeit somewhat sloppy match. The highlight of the match was Kuzumi doing an unassisted springboard tope con hilo, which is really impressive considering her lack of height. Kuzumi not only pushed Devil, but she pinned her with her Victory Star drop, which Devil was, not surprisingly, unable to properly take the bump on. Hikari was shocked and elated that Kuzumi had pinned Devil to capture the titles (13th overall champions).

Michael: Far be it for me to defend someone who has been as selfish as Devil, but a lot of women have problems taking the bump on Kuzumi's Victory Star drop. In all honesty, Kuzumi should know better then to try it on someone as big as Devil. I know it's her finisher, but she used it on Devil before (not that she's won with it before) and Devil couldn't bump right on it so she should have known better than to use it again. Kuzumi did recover enough to make the pin look good even though Devil popped right up after the 3. As far as Hikari being shocked goes, I think we were all shocked that Devil and not Cuty did the job.
